Screw Spikes

A rail sleeper screw is used to fasten sole plate with ribbed base plate onto tie sleepers. As far as rail construction of concrete sleepers is concerned, a sleeper screw spike is always used by combining with a plastic dowel imbedded in the concrete sleeper, by fastening rails to concrete or wooden ties directly or indirectly.

The production cost of a screw spike is higher than that of a dog spike or dog nail, but the fixing power of a rail screw is greater as well, twice as much as that of a dog spike. In addition, a screw spike can be used together with a spring washer too.

1. According to UIC864-1 standard, Ss series sleeper screw spike is a hot sales, with types of Ss5-150, Ss8-140, Ss8-150, Ss8-160, Ss23-160, Ss25-165 and Ss35-161, while dimensions differs from M24×140mm to M24×165mm.

2. Rail screw spikes with big disk are more popular at South American and African markets. Diameter can be 22mm or 23mm, and length of 115mm, 133mm or 178mm. The material of such screw follows British standard of N 15-1961.

3. Screw spike 3V follows the standard of NF F50-006:

Quality Control

Pollution control
Pollution may be caused through noise of hammer and oil fired furnace used for tempering furnace, as well as hard smoke discharged from the fuel gas. In order to avoid/ reduce noise pollution, special hammer are introduced. In the meantime, factory shed is specially designed so that it can be minimized.
Energy Conservation
Considerable energy could be saved by preheating the inlet air used in baring of diesel in oil fired furnaces.
